Game Drives

Enjojo Lodge is bordering the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP). Taking you to Ishasha park gate will only take you 5 minutes by car.

The Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, in the remote southern end of the park, is famous for its tree-climbing lions. Other big mammals include elephants, buffalos, hippos, hyenas and leopards. Common antelope species include cob, bushbuck, water buck and topi, which can only be found in the Ishasha plains.

Whether you are using your own vehicle or the Enjojo Lodge open-roof safari Land Cruiser, Ishasha will reveal a Noah’s ark of wildlife.

Morning/evening visit to Rwenshama fishing village

Our open-roof Land Cruiser will take you to Rwenshama, a fishing village on the shore of Lake Edward. During the 40-minute drive from Enjojo lodge straight through the park you will surely encounter plenty of wildlife. In Rwenshama, see how the traditional fishermen bring their catch on shore: tilapia, lungfish, catfish …

Hippos lurking, pelicans fishing and if your timing is right, the lone elephant bull “Da Boss” will be doing his daily walk along the shoreline.

Birding at Enjojo Lodge

Thanks the combination of swamps, acacia forest and savannah grassland, Enjojo Lodge attracts a large variety of birds. Our small lake is an excellent viewpoint for birders. More than 70 different species have been spotted in just one day.

Fishing

The small lake (Akanyanza) at Enjojo Lodge is abundant with fish, ranging from three types of tilapia to huge lung fish and catfish. Fishing rods can be rented from reception.
